The Rocket Indwelling Pleural Catheter or IPC is a soft tube or ‘drain’ that your doctor has recommended for the removal of fluid from your chest. This fluid is
a common cause of discomfort such as shortness of
breath or pain.
The IPC tube allows you or your District Nurse to
drain away the fluid quickly and easily using
the special pre-vacuumed
bottles.

The Rocket Indwelling Peritoneal Catheter or IPC is a soft tube or ‘drain’ that your doctor has recommended
for the removal of fluid from your abdomen. This fluid is one of
the causes of your increasing discomfort such as a distended
abdomen or pain.
The soft drain and drainage bags allow the
fluid to be removed quickly and easily either by yourself or
with the help of your carer or District nurse.
